Save Clarion O-I Glass Plant & Employees (P1)

Owens-Illinois announced the closing of their glass container plant in Clarion, Pa., Clarion County. The plant's closing in July 2010 will put an additional 420 people out of work and searching for new employment in an area where there is none.
Therefore, we the undersigned believe the closing of the Owens-Illinois Glass Plant in Clarion will harm not only families but the community and our local economy.
We hereby demand local officials take action in order keep the plant open and to have Owens-Illinois update the machinery and furnace in order that the plant can sustain the livelihood of its employees. It is our hope to present this petition to Representative Donna Oberlander and Clarion area economic leaders.
